Luftwaffe Generals Tunic & Breeches DK in Gold Winner
Very nice large size Luftwaffe Generals Tunic & Breeches. Unfortunately it is not named but is for a German Cross in Gold winner. It also has numerous loops for badges and a ribbon bar. The original vendor researched the tunic and feels that it belonged to Flak General Erich Karl Alexander Petersen (August 1889 – 4 July 1963) who served as commander of the 7th Air Division, until being tapped for promotion to commanding general of the IV. Luftwaffe-Field-Corps. He also served as commanding general of the LXXXX Army-Corps. Following the war, he was tried and acquitted of war crimes in France. He was released on 18 January 1950. Petersen is indeed a DK in Gold winner.
