SS Totenkopf Honor Ring Presentation Set

The SS Totenkopf "Death's Head" Honor Ring was instituted at the personal behest of Reichsfuhrer-SS Heinrich Himmler and was awarded for outstanding achievement and loyalty. It is the most highly prized of all SS awards.

This ring is a hand made, museum quality reproduction taken from the original Honor Ring presented to Oberfuhrer Erhard Kroeger, 21.12.43 complete with the H. Himmler facsimile signature. The ring weighs approximately 8.5 grams when cast in Kroeger's size: 9.

While the ring exhibits exceptionally fine detail, it also reveals the normal daily wear that occurred to it. The full inscription is correct and reads: " S. lb. Kroeger 21.12.43 H. Himmler ".

To my mind, the daily wear evidence on the ring represents unique "Beauty Marks" that add to the intriguing questions surrounding this particular artifact and it's former owner Oberfuhrer Erhard Kroeger.

Just like the originals, it is cast in .925 silver in two separate pieces, sized, fused together and then hand finished by a master jeweler. This is the same identical manufacturing technique as used by the sole producer of the original SS Totenkopf Honor Ring, The Otto Gahr Company, Mariannenstrasse NR. 3, Munchen.

Erhard Kroeger eventually attained the rank of SS Oberfuhrer. His unique language skills caused him to be assigned on numerous occasions to work directly with Reichsfuhrer-SS Heinrich Himmler and Doctor Josef Gobbels.

This ring is arguably the finest reproduction of the SS Totenkopf Ring on the market today. As close to the "Real Deal" as many of us will ever get.

Although Kroeger's left ring finger is hidden from view, the presence of Vlasov and Kroeger's rank of Oberfuhrer dates the picture to a time that Kroeger would have been wearing the Totenkopf ring during this meeting. Close examination of the original photograph reveals Kroeger's right hand clasped over his left hand and his right ring finger resting on the Totenkopf Ring. A natural resting position for anyone wearing a ring on this finger.
• A copy of Kroeger's military history including notes on his service in Einsatzkommando 6 and the 9th SS-Panzer Division "Hohenstaufer".
• A "posthumous" letter from Reichsfuhrer-SS Heinrich Himmler describing this particular SS Honor Ring Presentation Set.
