THE OAK LEAVES WITH SWORDS & DIAMONDS TO THE KNIGHT'S CROSS AWARD
The most coveted award of the Third Reich was the Oak Leaves with Swords and Diamonds to the Knight's Cross.
It was instituted on July 15th, 1941 and only 27 of them were ever awarded and it stands amongst the rarest of the rare of all military awards. Recipients include: Generalleutnant Adolf Galland, Hauptmann Hans-Joachim Marseille, Generalfeldmarschall Erwin Rommel, Oberst Hans-Ulrich Rudel and SS-Oberstgruppenführer Sepp Dietrich.
The Oak Leaves with Swords and Diamonds award featured here is a fantastic, dead accurate Museum Copy cast from molds taken directly from the original award "liberated" by an American combat engineer of the 29th Division who had taken it from the personal vault of Gauleiter Josef Wagner whose office was near Stuttgart. The award was made by the prestigious jewelry firm of Klein of Hanau and is correctly maker marked with a small letter “k” within a circle followed by the silver content number being “935”.
Like the originals this award is made up of 4 pieces held perfectly in place by 3 pins and is solid pure silver. The 58 diamonds are high quality Zirconia diamonds each one being correctly claw mounted by hand. It is also available with real diamonds having a cumulative weight of about 2.7 carats.
This true work of art is handcrafted to perfection in North America by a second generation high-end jewelry manufacturing firm. The finished award is beautifully displayed in a handmade European presentation case with the ribbon completing the set.

THE GOLDEN OAK LEAVES WITH SWORDS & DIAMONDS AWARD
This set is also available in solid 18 carat gold. Oberst Hans-Ulrich Rudel was the only recipient of the Oak Leaves with Swords and Diamonds in Gold. Rudel owned two sets of these and he never explained why he had two sets in his possession. Hitler personally awarded him the first set and it is thought Goring also awarded him a second set at a later date.
